Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Cloud)

The Role

XINTRA is looking for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer who can do more than just provision cloud resources. You will design and automate the building of enterprise-scale environments, from Active Directory forests and Exchange servers to SIEM pipelines and containerized apps, and transform them into live cyber simulations used by Fortune 500s, defense, and government.

This role sits at the intersection of automation and cyber operations. You will use Infrastructure as Code to stand up complex, realistic systems, then work closely with red and blue team operators to evolve them into training and testing ranges that replicate real-world threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and automate Azure infrastructure using Bicep and configuration management (Ansible).
• Stand up enterprise systems (Active Directory, Exchange, SIEM, logging pipelines) as part of lab environments.
• Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) IAM, MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
• Develop automation pipelines to deploy, monitor, and maintain simulations at scale.
• Write scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for provisioning, orchestration, and environment management.
• Contribute to containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across live customer labs and internal ranges.
• Collaborate with developers and cyber operators to integrate attack simulations, telemetry, and security tools.
• Maintain documentation and reusable IaC templates for repeatable deployments.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure (compute, networking, storage, security).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) and automation frameworks (Ansible).
• Scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Familiarity with Entra ID (identity, MFA, SSO, Conditional Access).
• Interest in cybersecurity operations and building environments that mimic real-world enterprises.
• Bonus: experience with SIEMs (Splunk, ELK), endpoint tooling, red/blue team workflows.
